Heartily sick of the heat and corruption, he uses his last job in Uganda to provide the funding needed to start his own company. With his long-time friend, Robert, he moves back to Brighton, in the south of England, to setup Phasmid IT.

Vowing never to leave the shores of his homeland again, his plans are thrown to the wind when he finds Robert attacked and unconscious in their new office.

Avoiding a cynical police officer determined to accuse Robert of being involved in drugs, Peter is soon confronted by Angela, a South African bank auditor, who appears ready to accuse Robert of other illegal activities. When Peter finds himself hunted by the two thugs who attacked Robert, he finds himself on the run with no one to turn to.
